Why I Created This App

Hello,
I’m Yuki, based in Paris.

The Paris Metro opened in 1900, and as new lines were added over time, stations were extended in a piecemeal way. As a result, many stations are complex, the infrastructure is old, and even finding your way to street level can be difficult. On top of that, exit guidance is limited, making it especially confusing for visitors.

The idea for this app came from a friend who, after a long period of hospitalization, gave up on visiting Paris because of concerns about the many stairs in the Metro. That stayed with me, and I kept wondering if there was something I could do. This app was created with the hope of helping people who feel the same anxiety about getting around.

When you take the Metro, you begin to see many different sides of the city. Instead of staying only in central areas, try taking the Metro to places not listed in guidebooks. You may discover something unexpected. I hope this app can help you in those moments.

To support ongoing costs such as map licensing, the app uses a simple pass system at €0.99 per week. There is no automatic renewal, so you remain in full control.

I hope this app helps make your time in Paris easier and more enjoyable.

Bon voyage 🍀
